Doulas honour mothers

New mothers aren't supported, honoured or celebrated in our culture as they need and deserve to be. They need physical, emotional and mental health support, so they can rest and recover after birth. I imagine a time, hopefully not too far in the future when all new mothers receive support from their community of family, friends and professionals as a matter of course.

Postpartum doulas support and care for new mothers after birth. We care for and support their emotional, physical and mental health. We mother the mother, so she can mother her baby. Imagine having food cooked and served to you, a weekly massage, naps during the day and someone else doing the dishes and laundry.

As a postnatal doula, I work with you to avoid feeling exhausted and overwhelmed and get the mother care and postpartum support you deserve, so you can enjoy your baby and postpartum. I believe that growing, birthing and raising the next generation is important now and for the future. I dream that new mothers (first or fifth baby) are supported, cared for, revered and honoured by our society on their sacred transition to motherhood.

At Sacred postnatal harmony, I offer a range of services, including:

Pregnancy and postpartum massage.

Food preparation and cooking.

Guide you to feel confident to mother your baby your way.

Village building.

Baby massage instruction.

I offer 'wrap around' support physical, emotional, and informational (like a warm blanket). I support you and your family at this vulnerable and sacred time in your life.

If all mothers are supported and cared for, the whole community benefits.

Contact me if you would like to know more about how I can support you after birth.
